Stoughton September 29th 1938

Dear Doris

I am writing to let you know about what is going on

Mrs Barry has just called up the Town Manager office for information, whether its up to us or the town to take down that big limb that fell on the wire over to the old place, they are still out of light depend on lamps & its very awkward, for Hazel says she has to do night work she brings home from the office.

Mrs Barry called them up just now & they say tell Mrs Holmes not to worry, its up to them & they are going right about it now & they will hasten them right about it, she talked very nicely to them & it had the desired effect, so that took a great load off my shoulders I can tell you it has worried me terribly.

[[Barraha?]] came to me last night & told me he would take the tree down that hangs over the building for a $1. so I said go to it. & then he is coming to night to do some more to the elmtree over in the drive way to the old place it hangs over there ready to drop & theres danger of its dropping
