a very nice & sweet appearing lady & Mrs Barry was a very cultured intilligent woman who loved Mrs Holmes. Mrs Harrington told them she was my companion & secretary & we were very united. they wanted to know how long I had lived here & if I were born in the old place. also how long Mrs Eddy lived with us & if it were true what my Brother Horace said about Mrs Eddie [[Eddy]]. hes trying to influence me against my parents. I told them there was no need of my denying it. but as long as she was dead & that I had thought so much of her in the times gone by. what earthly use was it to make things up at this late day. she had been a remarkable woman & had brought about a great work also done much good in creating it, she being the right one to introducing it to the world. none of us are perfect. I asked them if they had ever seen Mrs Eddie [[Eddy]] they said no. they told Mrs Harrington they enjoyed us so much they wanted to come again. they are now going to Florida for the winter. I think they were both suspicious I didn't trust them.
