Dear Folks

A very warm day 80° on the porch at noon. We have been fixing up the room up stairs preparing for Josaphene [[Josephine]]to come here tomorrow might. she gets to Brockton at six O'clock then they go to some place for their lunch before coming home on the bus. we put clean curtains up to the window & then took off the feather bed & put on clean sheets & pillow slips & tomorrow she is going to dress up the two bureaus & the commode with her pretty doilies & try to make things as attractive as possible, for she is the ideal sister the other one thinks the most of Mamie & never pays her much attention.

She is giving her a picnic Wednesday. Mr Turner takes them to Woods hole Amy Cunner goes with them they wish I could go too, but I am not able to stand the racket & don't want to go. my going on such things are a thing of the past. my home is the place for me & when I get tired the lounge seems my best friend. she buys the sandwitches [[sandwiches]] & Amy does her part. We had lively company the other day but was very tired when it came night, too tired to sleep. so I lay awake the biggest part of the night we enjoyed them very much but little things tire me now.
