Dear Folks,

This has been a very warm day. I have just been out to close up the little "den". since so much damp weather I have not been able to unlock it before & found it very close this afternoon its safer to air it once in a while.

Mamie Kate has just called up to talk with her cousin & I told her she had'nt got home from the movies where she took Nellie, but I thought she intended to stop there & see her on her way back & tell her about Josaphene as she received a letter from her this morning. she has been down to Washington & to Allies on her way back & will come here to see us for a short stay mostly nights.

Mrs Barry has just arrived & did not go to Mamies after all. Mr Turner met her & took Nelly home & then carried her for a little ride & then brought her home. yesterday they went to see Laura in the hospital she is in the Baker Memorial hospital & doing well they carried her in a boquet [[bouquet]] from her garden as she told them to & I picked her roses from mine & some sweet williams which she seemed to think a good deal of she was tickled to pieces to see them.
