Dear Folks,

We are having another hot Sunday still & not a leaf stirs. hope no showers start up later on, but we can't complain as we have had a cool week, & now its the other extreme.

I have just picked me a box of strawberries .15 cents & natives. they will taste as good as anything. my appetite is not good everything goes druggy & nothing tastes good. it is a task to eat & I get it over as quick as possible.

Anna was here the other day & I asked her where Henry had moved & she didn't know but said they were up to the old place the other day & she heard Maude had left a mortgage on it they had to raise money to get the young scamp out of difficulty. they say he is crooked in his insurance business. if so its only a question of time before he gets the law after him & his mother may live to see where in a living trouble is worse than a dead one. no one speaks a good word for him in this town. they say he is not dependable so beware.

My roses are all in bloom its a pity they go by so soon, the lupin is also out it looks fine, grass grows too fast.
