Stoughton June 8th 1938

Dear Folks

The weather is cloudy & it may clear later on I have been sitting on the porch watching the mother robin feed her one babie [[baby]] robin on the roof of the little building Mrs. Barry talks to the birds & they answer back every day they seem very tame. I hope the cats dont catch them. our one little squirrel is running up & down the trees he seems tame.

Careta came here last night & stayed during the evening, she had been calling on Helen Metcalf who is home after her accident but somebody is staying with her. she was lucky not to have broken her hip, just crusted it.

Maude is not able to do much work if she looks after those children it is about all she is capable of doing. Anna told me Henry had given up the house & was moving into a smaller one. I never let on anything that was said in the letter. they were seen up at the house why dont they go there to live? that Mrs Williams went to look at Maudes house but she said it was so filthy and
