A school could not be established on
any of the plantations within my district at
present, which would be of much advantage to
the Freedmen.
There are few of the leading men of
this place in my opinion who would encourage
an institution of this kind. There is not
a Building in this place that could be reuted,
which would be suitable for a School House.

Sir I have the honor to be
                        Very Respectfully
                         Your Ob't Servant
