Asst. Commissioner  "Proposal" No. 2. made by M. Brennan.

Brennan has the reputation of being the best workman in Helena, and I personally know him to be responsible and reliable and he is vouched for by H. P. Coolidge and several of the leading citizens of Helena.

Tobias Elting has but lately arrived here and I know nothing of him personally.

Porter & McKinney have been here some time and have put up several apparently well finished buildings, but they have more work on hand than they can attend to, and which will employ them for two or three months ahead.

The composition of the three proposals speak volumes in themselves.
