Dear Friend
Since I last wrote to you the various members (4) of the Bus. Com. have been consulted in regard to sending a young man to Little Rock and they decidedly object to sending any more teachers at this late season of the year. They think that it would be better to take one of the teachers from one of the other schools where hardly any tuition money is collected. We much regret the small sums which have been collected at Little Rock, not half enough to keep up the schools & board the teachers independently of paying their salaries. We think that the colored people ought to pay half the expense of education in Maryland the colored people paid $13000.00 for tuition to the association that F. T. King (one of our members) is connected with. E. M. Butler gave us to understand that the schools would be nearly self supporting
