Office of Agt. B.R.F. & A.L.
Rocky Comfort Ark
July 22nd 1867

Respectfully forwarded to Wm M. Colby School Supt Little Rock Ark.

Mr Hazledine has been very industrious in his school and to give him a little recreation, I have obtained him the position of clerk for the board of registers in this county at a very comfortable salary.

He will resume his duties by the 1st of Sept. teaching.

There are three other plantations where as large or larger schools can be established as on this in my county and the freedmen are very anxious to have them, and so am I as there is enough material here to do a great deal.
