Sir:
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 14" inst. accompanied by Circular No. 21. B.R.F. & A.L. Little Rock Ark. Nov. 18" 1867, and in reply would state, That I have already selected a good site for a School house on Morgan's Point. I am satisfied that a clear Title can be obtained to a tract of land, for that purpose. estimates of the building will be made as soon as a Title is obtained. I regret that the same malignant spirit exists at this place, which showed itself on the night of the 16" inst. by the burning of the Freedmen's School House near this place, used as a Church The Freedmen have been warned for some time past, that
