Hon Wm M Colby.

Dear Sir
Yours recd, enclosing Transportation to Little Rock, As we have no funds and no immediate prospect of any, we can not use it at present, but hope to be able to use it the present year. I presume you are aware of the Rev. Mr Shipherds action in suspending our pay. In fact we have never received any pay, and not half enough to meet our living expenses. I closed school on Friday, and my report will be forwarded by next mail (or at least placed in the hands of the Bur Agt to be forwarded}

I have been quite unwell and am glad to get a chance to rest for a season.

Accepting thanks for your kindness and believe me Yours Truly

David. C. Casey
