Mr William M Colby, Esq.

Dear Sir
I am informed by the Circuit Superintendant, that are some Funds due the various Districts, which were appropriated for the benefit of the Freedman.

We have a school of thirty five in number, and are very needy, and would be very thankful to receive even a morsel to assist in paying their teacher.

The source from whence this fund accrues, you are better acqainted, than I am prepared to describe.

If there is anything to be distributed. Remember us.

Yours Respectfully, T.P. Williams
