Der Sir.
Enclosed please find duplicate receipts for rent of SchoolRoom during the month of July. Allow me to ask why rent is not allowed for the month of June also, When the present term commenced May 24th and has continued uninterruptedly until the present times? And I have given two sessions of Sabbath School instructions each Sabbath during the time, unless the room was occupied for religious purposes.

If my letter to Mr. Colby did not report the school sufficiently in detail, as I now have blanks I will transmit one if so desired. I find poor pay, to teach for nothing and pay my own house rent. Owing to some informality in levying and collecting the Special tax for Free Schools
I see no flattering signed of receiving anything for past services very soon if ever. As this place is very sickly and the Pay Nothing, I do not feel it my duty to make any further sacrifices on the principle of duty or the Cause of the Radical Party.
