Very Dear Sir: 
Your post-marked 4th inst not rec'd till I came up here yesterday and will have Perry sign and return voucher at first opportunity. Closed school on the premises Friday with a little picnic & examination 
Sat. Commenced here today with very flattering prospects. Are two young men here teaching in vicinity who are asking for blanks for reports. Will supply for this month. You might send more to my address for both. 
I want three doz. testaments for use in school. also a bible. And I would like very much to get the temperance picture "The Black baby R.R." to hang in S. house - size about 12 x 14 prefered- While in your office you showed me some freedman's papers. please let me know on what terms the foregoing things can be obtained
