July 29. 67. Plaintiff & five other hands worked for Deft. in 1866. for one half of the crop, feeding themselves, paying one half of the shop account & half of the expense of feeding the teams. Ten bbls of Corn was taken out of the share of the Freedmen by their consent as their part of feeding the team. The principal crop was Tobacco

Amt. realized for sale of Tobacco  $756.45.
One Half being share of the hands.   $378.22 1/2
Deduct for Expenses (Provisions &c)  93.82
Balance $284.40
Making the share of Plaintiff  $47.80.
Deduct his individual a/c  20.97.
Balance due Plaintiff  $26.83

It appearing from the testimony of Haywood & Zachariah Braine that Plaintiff had during the last year without cause deserted his wife Lucy and had carried off nearly all their household furniture & it also appearing that Lucy had contributed her full share towards the family Expenses – it is adjudged that Plaintiff pay Lucy the sum of Ten Dollars ($10 00) which was accordingly done in my presence
