Mr. E. R. Silliman,

Dear Mr. Silliman:

This will acknowledge receipt of your letter of April 9th in which you enclose signed stock powers. We note that you intend to increase your loan for the purpose of subscribing to new stock of Pan American Airways Corporation which is to be issued in June. You are now paying interest at the rate of 3% on your existing loan, and I told General Roop some weeks ago that we would be receptive to making loans to the senior employees of the company, for the purpose of taking up the new stock, at the rate of 2 1/2%.

Should any of your associates wish to avail themselves of our loan facilities we would be very glad to hear from them.

Sincerely yours,
