My dear friend:
You have turned over to us for sale, the following three (3) Persian and Indo-Persian manuscripts with illuminations, which I believe we could more or less describe as follows-
a - The story of Joseph and Potiphar's wife.
Indo-Persian work of the end of the XVIth., of beginning of the XVIIth. Century.
b - Selected Persian tales, in its original leather binding.
Persian work bearing & seal, which might be that of the Costantinople Royal Library.
c - A selection of Persian tales, in a lacquor binding of the XVIIIth. Century.

These three volumes will be insured on our regular "foster", for the following sums -
"a" (as indicated above).......... $2,000.
"b" " " " .......... $500.
"c" " " " .......... $2.500.
As is customary, I would ask you, however, to release us from any responsibility whatsoever in connection with these works of art, though you will realize that we will take the same good care of them as of our own possessions.
You have given me a rough idea of what you consider should be [?] not prices to you. I therefore suggest putting the following selling prices on them. Should we be able to obtain these, they would take care of a certain amount of bargaining (of which, unfortunately, we see a great deal these days) and/or also, a special commission to on intermediary,
