Dear Mr. Seligman:

On Tuesday, October 13th, at eleven o' clock in the morning a building on Governors Island will be named "Marshall Hall" in a dedication ceremony honoring the late general of the Army George C. Marshall, who served on the staff of the First United States Army in World War I.

You and Mrs. Seligman are most cordially invited to attend this ceremony and the luncheon which will follow at the Officers Club. We expect that General Marshall's widow and other members of the family will be present, as well as representatives of veterans and organizations and various consul generals.

We are looking forward to having you and Mrs. Seligman as our guests, and would appreciate a reply by letter or telephone (WHitehall 4-7700, Extension 3156 or 2545).

Sincerely,

J T CORELY
