Dear Doris,

We are having cooler weather with snow up north, Myrtie will get there in time to have a taste of winter, she seems to like Vermont & says she doesn't mind snow storms.

Lottie Crane called me up yesterday and said Lena was coming up to the Leggs & was expected anytime, the tenement is to let & she may like it better. I don't think they liked being together. Mary Lynch was gone so much playing "beno". she is gone now doing housework & she can now do as she has a mind to more. I wouldn't be surprised to see Lena any old time. theres something that does'nt suit her there guess the expenses have gone up as people are flocking there to get rid of the cold winter.

Elizabeth Southworth called up yesterday to ask Mrs. Barry to go to Dedham & included me to go with them but it was too ling a ride so she took me for a ride up through Dry Pond & home through Easton then they went together into Dedham and had their dinner
