Mamie Kate has got back from Florida where she went to stay the winter & Ally, Mrs Barrys sister, took her to have the care of. she is very much used up & we dont see how she can stand it long the way she is at the present time. Ally has always thought more of her than she has of any body else, so glad she is there we are anxiously waiting the result. Elizabeth Southworth says she was running Ally down to her all the time she was staying with her this summer, called her an "awful old crank". wonder where Mamie will go next, she wont be happy no matter where she goes. she never used Poor Eldon decent & people know it. "chickens come home to roost".

I am glad you got back in time for the Piano & hope it does her some good. I will let down those dresses & be glad of something to do, while I still have the eyes to thread my needle. wish I only lived nearer. then there would be a lot of help in sewing, but the Lord knows best guess I have sun my best days & am about to retire.

I have had my dinner it tasted good. it was sausage meat it came in cloth, the way mother used to prepare it when I was a child, & tasted just like it & shelled beans & Apple pie this dinner I really enjoyed & it seemed like old times it was good & I was hungry for it. hope you are all well & have rested up

Cloud this morning Looks like rain
