Parish of Carroll } Be it known
that this day before me James W. Draughon. Recorder in and for the Parish of Carroll. State of Louisiana duly commissioned and sworn and in the presence of the witnesses hereafter named and undersigned.
    
Personally came and appeared 
Mrs. Mary W. McWilliams wife of Frances M Cathey and by him duly authorized and assisted who declared that for and in consideration of the total price and sum of One Thousand Dollars cash in hand to her paid by Fleming C Cheatham, a resident of the Parish of Carroll, State of Louisiana she has this day bargained sold and delivered and does by these presents bargain sell and deliver with a full and complete guarantee and warrantee against all troubles debts mortgages donations alienations or other encumbrances whatever not only against her own acts and 
deeds but those of her vendors hereby subrogating the present purchaser to all of her rights of action for warranty that she could have used herself. The following described property to wit:
               
A certain negro woman named "Cassey" aged about 40 years
