Office S.A. Com'r Bu. R.F. + A.L.
Wharton Texas, Dec. 3rd 1867.

E.M. Wheelock Esq.
Supt. of Schools Bu. R. F. + A.L.

Sir:

Herewith I have the honor to transmit you the only School Report rc'd in my Sub-District for the month of November 1867. The pupils taught by Mrs Henderson are making good progress. Her method of instruction is fair. The building occupied by her school is well adapted to the purpose for which it is used. There is a small school of twelve (12) scholars in the town of Matagorda which is the only school in the County of Matagorda. No report has been rec'd from the teacher of this school.
The school taught by Burrill B. Davis was discontinued at the close of the month of Oct.
Very respectfully
Your Ob't Serv't.
Ira H. Evans,
