Superintendent of Freedmen Schools State of Texas.

Sir, Mr Wheelock I (Myram) have suspended my school and account of the gathering of the crops, &c. and I hope that you will forgive me for not Ans. you as should of dun, &c and I intend to take up my school again in January next. 18.67.  And, sir, Mr Wheelock, theare is a grate call for school teachers up heare and the people want men that will tend to their lirners &c.  And though unlearned as I am, my pupils it said that they were improving very much, &c, &c
