Dear Mr. Goldsmith:

I have just received a cable from Mr. de Hauke who is in Europe, asking me to inquire of you if you will pay $100.- for the CEZANNE lithograph you are interested in acquiring. It is essential that I know your wishes in this matter immediately for Mr. de Hauke is returning to New York the beginning of next week, and I must cable your answer in the next day or two.

Hoping you have had a pleasant trip and that I will see you in the near future, I am

Yours very truly,
