Dear Miss Greene:

You will be surprised to hear from me after such a long silence - and I am writing to you to ask a great favor. I have just arrived in New York with my little sister, Jacqueline, whom I do not think you have ever met before. She is a great art student and at the head of the art class at the Sorbonne in Paris.

Of course, among the great collections she is particularly anxious to see is your Library. Not only would she like to be able to view it, but she is most anxious to meet you, after having heard so much about you from her mother and father.

Do you think this would be feasible in the near future as our stay over here is not going to be a very long one. When you will be kind enough to tell me whether this will be convenient, if you will allow me, I will call with my sister to have the great pleasure of seeing you again.

Trusting you are enjoying good health, and looking forward to hearing from you,

Thanking you in advance, believe me to be,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
