3 East 51st. St.,
New York, N.Y.

Dear Miss Parker:-
Some few weeks ago we received the unsold work of our students and craftsmen, that had been in your galleries, on consignment.

At that time we did not notice that you had previously sold one piece for which we have no record of payment. It was a group, "Negro & Dog", $12.50 by Eugenia Hay. We have a letter in our file from you, dated Feb. 7, 1935, to the effect that you had sold same but that payment had not yet been received. In this same letter you had sent us your check for $23.35 in payment of three other articles.

Please go over this matter in your records and if you find us correct let us have your check for same. If you find that you have paid it let me have date of payment.

We are sorry to cause this inconvenience at so late a date but it seems that several of us have had correspondence with you and so each expected the other had written you about the above matter.

                                                     Very truly yours,
                                   [handwritten sig.]] Kenneth E. Smith
