Dear Sir:

We wish to thank you for your kind letter of the 8th inst., and to tell you that you are correct in your supposition regarding the reason why we sent you the photograph of the REDON. AS a matter of fact, we specialize mostly in earlier things, such as Limoges Enamels, Italian Majolicas, Gothic Art, 18th century French furniture, and paintings of all periods.

In the field of paintings, we have recently acquired two of the most important 18th century English portraits that have ever come to this country; one being a LAWRENCE and the other being a GAINSBOROUGH, both of which come from one of the most celebrated collections in England. We have also recently acquired a very beautiful pair of large landscapes with figures by Hubert ROBERT measuring 7'8" high by 4'6-3/4" wide.

It occurred to us that probably the next time you are in New York you might have a little time to spare to come in to see our collection.

Again thanking you for your reply to our letter, believe us to be

Yours faithfully,
