Dear Sir:

I am taking the liberty of writing you these few lines to tell you that we have just received work from our client that we may possibly get to the two "Bathing Girls" by Renoir, about which I wrote you in my letter of March 16th.

I have an idea that we may be in a position to offer them to you at around $10,000 each, which would be a [[underline]] tremendous bargain [[/underline]], because as I told you, I know the paintings, and I believe they cost their owner about double this price.

In the event of our being able to get these paintings, I would like to know, at your convenience, whether you have been able to arrange anything to overcome that Sales Tax difficulty.

Awaiting, therefore, the favor of your reply,

Believe us to be

Your respectfully,

JACQUES SELIGMANN & CO., Inc.
