3 East 51st Street
New York, N.Y.

Dear Rene:

Just wanted to let you know that Maria is figuring on paying you the balance amounting to about $600 on commissions which you secured for her. She is also figuring on taking care of the expense of the last exhibition in the amount of about $44. You can absolutely figure on getting these two items off your books by January 1st at the latest and probably before December 1st.

There is no disputing the fact that the last exhibition was a complete flop. She did not have a single inquiry and no business whatever has resulted. She has, however, painted several pictures, but these came through sources in no way connected with your Gallery. You can, of course, depend on me to see that you get commissions on any business that can in any way be traceable to the exhibition.

Maria has several good prospects, unrelated to you, in view but whether or not they will materialize she cannot say.

Hoping to see you soon, I am

Yours faithfully,

Harris
