Preston Harrison September 11-1936
[[RML]]

My dear Mr. Levy,

You certainly are the personification of courtesy - I thank you for your letter of Sept. 9th.

You must have seen the Art Digest (September issue). The election on November 3d will settle the fate of my constitutional amendment. It may not sound modest to say my amendment but sometimes I tell the truth even in art.

Do not thank me for what little I did for you. Come again and I will manage & get you into Mr [[Malney's?]] home - and Mrs. Fisher too - she is just starting and how I dote on the enthusiast suddenly going hay-wire in art.

Your visit was not wasted. If amendment carries at the polls - you will catch the Old Fox (art) just at the psychological moment.

Mighty fine of you to say nice things about our Harrison Galleries. Who knows? Maybe I did a bigger thing than I expected. If you are alive in 1956 send me some sort of message to the other world where I will be.
