My dear Mr. Hartford:

Though I know that you have recently acquired a painting by Rembrandt, I thought of letting you know that we have just received a very fine example of the early work of this master, and if you would like to stop in one of these days to look at it, it would give me great pleasure to show it to you.

I plan to sail for Europe on the 6th of June and hope to have this chance to see you before I sail.

With my kindest regards to Mrs. Hartford,

Please believe me,

Yours sincerely,

(René Seligmann)
