Dear Mr. Harvard.

Do have my thanks for your letter of October 6. It covers pretty well the different questions I put to you, and this is all I need for the time being at least.

Should anything develop, I would, of course, immediately post you at which time the various points raised by me would have to be taken care of.

On the other hand, were you to be approached with any serious proposition, and this before the end of the year, I would ask you in turn to let me know. In the meantime, do advise me whether and when you are sending it to Stockholm - you did not seem to be quite sure at the time of your writing; and for how long would it remain in that city?

You mention that a book by Soria in which this painting will be published is to appear shortly. Is it on "Velazquez" or will it cover a multitude of subjects such as "Spanish Painting", for instance?

Looking forward to hearing further from you, and with personal regards,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman
