Dear Mr. Heyden,

We are writing you these few lines to tell you that we have just reopened our galleries for the winter season and among the things we have brought over with us is one of the most important and most beautiful portraits by DROUAIS that has ever come to this country. It is a portrait of Mlle. de Romans who was one of the favorites of Louis XVI and comes from a very important French collection. Besides this, we have a pair of large upright paintings by Hubert ROBERT which are generaly considered to be his masterpieces.

We would be pleased to show you these things at any time you could conveniently call in here.

Therefore, looking forwards to the pleasure of seeing your shortly, believe us to be

Very truly yours,
