November 7, 1957

Dear Stephanie,

Your kind lines of November 4th distress me greatly, for I am sorry to hear of the financial difficulties you are encountering on account of the new rent laws.

Herewith I am sending you a check of L100 (one hundred) made out to your order and do let me know whether this will enable you to weather the present crisis. I would have preferred your giving me an idea of the amount involved but be this as it may, this should tie you over for the immediate future.

The pleasant part your letter reveals is that you are in good health, which I am happy to know.

With Kind thoughts to you and the two girls,

Yours,

Germain Seligman
