May I also point out to you -

No. 98 - A pair of Limoges Candlesticks...you know how rare such pairs are! If I recall correctly, I have only seen two pairs appear for sale in the last ten years, and I wouldn't be surprised if they could be bought for $1500., or $2000.

Also, No. 128 - A pair of bronze picket candlesticks of a model which I have never seen before, with Unicorns, which might perhaps go for as little as $3,000., or $3,500.

Should you be at all interested in the idea, will you be good enough to communicate with my office here, which will transmit your instructions to me.

What you could do, for instance, would be to limit the amount of money you are willing to spend, by saying that, as an example, should No. 98 be purchased for ( ? ) you will only spend ( ? ) for No. 128, etc.

My business interest is limited to a 5% purchasing commission.

Trusting that in any case you will understand the spirit in which I a sending you this letter, and looking forward to seeing you soon again,

Believe me to be,

Most sincerely yours,

(Germain Séligmann)
