she certainly is lucky to have Bertha for a friends & dont know what she'd do without her.

The last time I saw Ralph alive all he could talk about was Pa. how little we know whats going to happen. perhaps its lucky we dont. Mrs Barry can tell some people what to expect once at the Ballanttines birth day party she told "brother" things no one else knew it astonished him so he went home & told his folks & since then, the family have kept after her, she has told the girls things so now they consult her for everything. she has told them about little Maree & set her crazy to talk with her. but Mrs Barry dont want to follow it up. she dont want the reputation. she told Florence Hickey someone in her immediate family was going to pass on suddenly & it wasn't long before her sister fell down stairs & broke her neck. (Dwite Burnses widow.) the Irish are crazy to know about these things. Addie has given us a boquet to hang on our front door she made it out of pine boughs & painted cones with a big red paper bow. its very pretty indeed. she is very ingenious that with our red bells at the front room windows make Xmas cheer enough. hope you get your presents all sent to your many friends safely sent with plenty in return
