Stoughton November 26th 1941

Dear Doris

We have been having cold weather this week after Sundays rain but now the wind has changed to the South West & its [[it's]] a little warmer this morning. Our turkey dinner turned out all right. I didnt cram I never do. Myrtie seemed to enjoy & even was'nt bashful in asking for a second helping which she doesnt do at Alices. for there they begrutch [[begrudge]] her every thing. I wish she could have a decent home in her old age. she says Percy is afraid to eat anything & all that ails him now is his nerves he looks terribly. he is very different from what he used to be & awful hard to live with. now Alice has to cater to him, a good thing. 

Last night we had the Episcopal choir here rehearsing their piece they are going to put on Friday night a week from last night. 9 of them came I was up through the rehearsal the minister was here & did well in his part. he wanted to know about that picture over the radio (Aunt Lucy Porters house) & after I left to go to
