Mrs Barry is singing her piece to me she is going to sing in church this morning, and is very anxious to do well, on account of having company who is very critical coming to visit the church dean Baleum.

A very cold spell is prophesied on the radio tonight, after a very mild day, thats what we have, no wonder theres so much sickness. these sudden changes.

There was a patient went to Ewing & he told her it was a cold & gave her medicine to take for it & told her she could go to school she went & the school inspector on looking over the schollars got to this pupil & said "wy [[why]] you have scarlet fever. who is your doctor & she said Ewing he told me nothing but cold then he went to him & told him on account of it the whole school had been exposed & must be disinfected, so they had two days vacation to fumigate the school. so Dr Ewing is slipping, he should not practice was good in his day but he is losing all his judgment now 75 years old. I have just picked a huge bunch of chrysanthemums. I hate to have them freeze they blossomed well. now I hope you get this letter earlier than my last weeks one. Bill dont come he has forsaken us I guess. He will soon go to Florida. Ma
