Dear Doris

Up to this morning we have been having lovely days. the moon shone bright and sky was full of bright glittering stars but this morning is cloudy & looks like rain any minute. 

I have just eaten my breakfast and now am getting this letter written so you can get it before Sunday. Every where the ground is covered with yellow leaves, they rustle under ones feet, the leaves all blow over into our yard.

my chrysanthemum is in bloom it looks fine the frosts haven't taken it so far it is a pity they are so late this part of the country is not fitted for them. Sunday [[Bharley?]] Lillian + Gladys came to see us we were more than pleased to see them [[Bharley?]] is worried for fear he will be called into this war, you know he was in the world war he has terrible nervous spells almost a nervous break down over worring [[worrying]] so Lillian says. & Gladys was bothered over a
