Stoughton September 28th 1941

Dear Doris

This is day light saving day all the clocks have to be set back on hour. now this is the right time. I wish they would let the time alone. They are going to have Thanksgiving on the 20th. next thing they will change the days of the week.  Well this is a very pleasant warm day and 6 the papers say showers on Monday I certainly hope so we are in need of all the moisture we can get to stop so many fires in the woods one or two every day.

Ring & his wife leave for Boston he is already there & she is going tomorrow over to Ballantines for the day. she is glad to leave Stoughton so she says. they are storing some goods over to Miss Seriacks empty garage. most of them she has sold they are taking a furnished apartment no body will miss them, they have acted like fools.  I am glad a protestant has bought their place, one less paddy in the neighborhood. I have no respect for a man who is pulled around by a woman as he is. they should be a man & stand
