Dear Doris

We are having nice cool days no one could ask for better weather since the fourth. we escaped the hurrycane & flood they had up north. we havent heard from her sister who lives in Ohio where they had such disaster. the papers were full of the fludded area. thank goodness we dont live near lakes & rivers & the blue hill keeps off most of the thunderstorms.  I hope your ankle is better by now & you can get about you are subject to accidents you must be careful & not go at full speed so much take time. dont hurry it does'nt pay.

I had an accident day before yesterday Mrs Barry was sewing all the afternoon on a dress & lost her needle. we hunted & hunted but could not find
