he got a fine position for Barbaras gentleman friend down in Washington DC. the house in this town was left to Carety with all the expenses paid & this family she has let it to, were to have moved in by the first of June but her sickness has prevented their getting out until now.

I havent seen Alice since that time we went to ride with Mrs O'Harra she drove around to leave me there. I changed my mind & went with them to Brockton. She acted so cool we have not seen her since. the Lord knows we have entertained her enough times here, for her to be glad to even ask me to sit down there. but I will never go there again. she lives for herself alone. a very selfish person. Gladys is very different. I dont wonder her children dont have her live with them.

I think the schools here are about closing this their last week. then the children will run wild. my roses are in their prime. I must get the Dykeman boy here to mow my lawn before it gets any worse. then it will be harder to mow he does very well. but does not trim around the flower beds even so I am lucky to get him no use in being too particular. he is good boy & not afraid of work. its clouding up to storm we are far behind & need more rain has been too dry a season Ma
