I have got my washing out & mostly dry. its a good drying day. the first one we have had for a number of days. it seems good to see every thing coming ahead. my bulbs are all in bloom, tulips looking fine narcissus are some in their prime & some gone by, my grape hyacinthe are looking healthy. last year he mowed them down but I was sure to guard against it this year & told him they were rare. so he took particular pains to pull up the grass around them & they were blooming then.

The bundle you sent (old pajamas) arrived two days after you sent the goods. so that I can cut them out & begin on them any time now. my ambition is not very great these days. the less one does the less they want to do I presume. it seems a great task these days to get about work & when I do things I get out of breath, especially when I am on my feet any. guess I must be growing old. well dont work too hard & dont worry.
