in ten days. Witnesses to the above. John A Partlow, Wm Talbot, Willis Chisolm, and the freedmen on the place at Newmarket on the Greenville and Columbia Rail Road and Lawyer McGowan of Abbeville, who conducted the case for Partlow.

Second. Breach of Trust and appropriating monies belonging to the freedpeople to his own use. 

In the case of Wesley Cromer and the freedpeople on his plantation Abbeville District. There was a difficulty in the settlement between them; John Enright, and James H. Cobb {both white) were appointed referees, awarded to the freedmen as their dues the sum of $30.00  Cromer paid this money to Allen, for freedmen in the presence of Enright & Cobb, and Allen gave Cromer his receipt for the same, and has never paid it over to the freedmen, but has absconded with it.

Third. Obtaining money from freedmen under false pretenses, and absconding with the same.

About ten days ago before Christmas 1867 Allen told the following named freedmen that bacon could be purchased of the Bureau at Charleston for six cents per lb. Ned Fair, Lany Fair & Thompson Fair, freedmen living upon Mr. John H. Wilson place deposited in the hands of Mr. Allen, for the purpose of purchasing bacon $40.00 they have never received any bacon and Allen has absconded with the money.
