Maj Genl O.O. Howard
Com Bureau R. F & A. L.

Dear Sir
The colored people of Shiloh in Sumter Co: in this State have purchased 3/4 of an acre of land upon which they have already erected a frame 40x50: have the shingles and a large portion of the lumber for covering and now ask me to request of the Bureau an appropriation of the sufficient amount to purchase eighteen 18 light Sash 10x12 and three single panel doors: which will cost perhaps one hundred dollars. The building is to be used for school purposes for the colored children. I most earnestly trust the appropriation will be made.

Very Respy Yrs-
