Esteemed Friend.
When I saw thee on August 16th, thee told me you would build a School house here if we could procure the land —
To have a permanent School here has long been my desire, as I intend remain'g in this work as long as my broken health will permit —. With thy promise in my mind I commenced looking around for a suitable location as soon as I returned this fall — & had concluded to use my own means to secure one. Property has advanced so much they ask double what they did a year ago.

Yesterday I made an engagement with a man to go look at some lots on Monday and my interest in the work makes me willing to give 200 or 300 dollars (Which is more that I have saved since teaching in the South). The fear of our having to leave here — has made me very anxious
