Mr Jos. Welch
Your communication has been received I had intended to stop teaching school at the end of this month. This place ought to support a teacher well, but it does not do it. The people are less concerned about the education of their children than any place that I have been since the war. Enclosed you will find the Vouchers signed as directed, and if you could increase that amount to $25. per month for the next three months I could do very well as after that time the school will increase.

Very respectfully
