Rev Welch
Supt Schools

Dear Sir
Mr B S Morse has repaired a [[strikethrough]] school [[/strikethrough]] house below here where he is engaged teaching freed children at considerable expense to himself and it would be but just to him to allow him rent for the same while Teaching. You can correspond with me as Mr M. is a distance from town.

Yours truly
W J Neely

P.S. Eight dollars per month would be low rent for the House
