Forwards communication of G.W. Grant dated Huntsville Texas. July 5 1869 requesting that if Government will not require [[?]] of his ground that the same be turned over to him without claim on buildings belonging to Government, and requesting that his claim on church at that place be paid, and invites attention to endorsement of Lieut Brinkerhoff, who states that buildings referred to are public property, were left in care of Mr. Geddin for preservation, and subject to orders of C.O. Post of Livingston in compliance with instructions of union officer at Post, that Grant gave ground rent free, and [[Dr. Mer?]] at Livingston, refund to receive and receipt for same.
